My name is Antawn Salinas, aka Crimson Mohawk. I’m a queer music writer from Arizona, who primarily focuses on retrospectives and concert/festival reviews. Though, I have a ton more of interests ranging from movies to LGBTQ+ topics and beyond that, so I might bounce out of the music stuff every so often.

Back to music, I listen to all kinds of stuff, and I’m constantly trying to grow my taste and knowledge. I’m huge on Electronic/House, 90’s Grunge/Alt Rock, and Classic Rock, but always digging deeper into Rap, Progressive Rock, Industrial, Pop, and plenty of other genres. I wanted to start this blog to record my journey of deep diving into bands and artists, old and new, as well as chronicling my concert adventures. I hope that I can learn a lot through this, as well as open people up to artists that they’ve never listened to before or learn something new.

Some of my music research inspirations include Mic The Snare, Middle 8, Todd in the Shadows, Polyphonic, and music journalists Lisa Robinson and Kelefa Sanneh.
